Led by Miss Kaye we are lucky to have an array of visiting teachers.

Each teacher specialises in a different type of dance or performing art. They come from college, teaching and performing backgrounds bringing with them a vast amount of experience and knowledge. This allows students to have an excellent all round and well balanced training.

  • F.I.D.T.A (Modern Jazz).
  • L.I.D.T.A (Ballet, Theatrecraft, Tap)

All staff both teaching and administrative have been checked and cleared with the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) – Formally known as Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) to ensure parents peace of mind.

I love working with children, they are the best audience you could wish for! Dancing is both my profession and my passion having successfully achieved my goal of becoming a professional dancer. I have taught at Rochelle for over 16 years and my aim is to inspire children so that they have an understanding of dance and hopefully enjoy it as much as I do!

From starting Ballet, in 2000, with Miss Kaye to now assisting and teaching classes, I have continued to love dancing, alongside teaching.

From my first dance lesson at Rochelle, at the age of two when I told Miss Kaye she was making me ‘extremely tired’ to graduating from dance college, I have not stopped loving dancing and performing.

Through my years of training at Rochelle I learnt such fundamental techniques that set me up for my professional training. At the age of 18 I moved to London and studied ‘Professional Dance and Musical Theatre’ at Bird College.

In 2015 I graduated with a 1st Class Honours and was granted the most professional student award across my year.

Since then my passion for dance and teaching has grown even further. I always aspire to improve my techniques and learn new skills by regularly taking professional workshops and classes. I thoroughly enjoyed my panto experience in 2015 where I performed in Cinderella over the Christmas period. I still regularly audition for professional performing contracts all over the UK and the world.

    • A.I.D.T.A. (Modern Jazz)
    • BA (Hons) Professional Dance
    • QTS
    • Accredited by Acrobatic Arts

In March 2016 I completed my associate Modern Jazz exam with 92 Distinction. My love for teaching and helping students to grow and develop their skills is another passions of mine. I want to pass on the knowledge that teachers at Rochelle and Bird have given me to all those I teach.

I began my dance lessons at Rochelle’s Sapcote Branch where I was the first pupil of age 2 and half, over the years I have achieved IDTA Intermediate Qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz.

In 1994 I started to help in class at Sapcote where I began to learn the skills and art of teaching and Choreography. Four years later I taught my first class at Rochelle and have since never looked back.

Dancing started as a hobby for me and I enjoy it just as much as the first day I started. I am very glad Miss Kaye let me start on that day back in 1984!

I’m currently studying anatomy and physiology for dance and sports musculoskeletal Therapy in Bristol.

I’ve trained in Ballet to Classical Award 2, Advanced Modern Jazz, Acro to Advanced Level, Tap, Hip Hip and Commercial.

I have recently gained a Level 4 Teaching Diploma and teach Acro, Commercial Funk and Intermediate Modern classes.

  • Level 4 Diploma in Contemporary Modern Jazz

I love Rochelle as it is a safe and accepting place for absolutely anyone who loves dancing. You can learn such a wide variety of dancing styles that are taught by many extremely talented teachers – there is so much you can learn from all teachers. It is just such a wonderful place to dance, hence why I never left!

I joined Rochelle The Dance School when I was 5 years old, and have since trained in Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz. This is where my love for dance began, and has later lead me on my journey to becoming a Dance Teacher. I currently hold a Level 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching for Modern Jazz, and wish to continue my development in both Ballet and Tap.

  • Level 4 Diploma in Contemporary Modern Jazz

Rochelle has always provided a warm and welcoming space for me to grow as a dancer. It has not only given me an everlasting passion, but I have also made life long friends here. I am now honoured to have the opportunity to teach at Rochelle, and wish to pass my love for dance onto generations to come.
